Growing up on a farm in southwestern MN, I have been around chiropractic since I was in about the 7 th grade. My oldest brother, Brad, who now practices in Montevideo , MN , was in attendance at Northwestern College of Chiropractic in MN and when he was home on weekends, I was adjusted by him. I have been getting adjustments ever since.

After graduating from Northwestern College of Chiropractic in 1994 and working for Brad for 6 months, I arrived in Flagstaff , AZ. Working for another doctor here, I split my time between two offices, one in Flagstaff and one in Tuba City on the Navajo Reservation. Three years later, I ventured out on my own. In addition to my Doctor of Chiropractic degree, I have received my Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician certificate, Applied Kinesiology certificate and Acupuncture license.

I have seen positive results with thousands of patients over the years. People need to understand that they should maintain their spine throughout their life, just like they do their teeth by going to the dentist. If optimal spinal alignment is not maintained, it will eventually develop into a problem.

Education and communication are important aspects to my practice. If you become a patient, I will let you know what you need to do to get out of pain and how you choose your care from that point on is up to you. Some patients only come to see me when they are hurting and some patients will see me monthly to maintain their optimal health and have no symptoms at all. Once you are out of pain, the rest is up to you. It's your health, it's your choice!

I am married to my wonderful wife, Deja and we have 2 lovely daughters, Bella Capree (5/05) and Macie Jo (5/07). When not consumed by the office, I enjoy playing softball and golf and spending time with my family relaxing at home or traveling to visit family in Tucson or Minnesota .

When asked by people what I do for living, my answer is that I help people with their pain and help them to feel better and live healthier.  Then, I tell them I am a chiropractor, but, several always beat me to the answer by guessing a chiropractor first.

I have been practicing for the past 22 1/2 years in Montevideo, Minnesota, a town of about 5000 people in rural western Minnesota, about 15 miles away from where I grew up, in Clarkfield.

Being interested in the sciences, anatomy, and mathematics, I knew I wanted to be a professional in the health field.  In exploring the different career choices, chiropractic seemed to me a good fit with it's philosophy of health and healing.
I attended Northwestern College of Chiropractic and graduated in 1985.  I am licensed to practice acupuncture, and have received additional training in sports medicine, becoming a Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician.

I am the proud father of 4 wonderful daughters, Jami-23 years, Carli-21 years, Brook-19 years, and Laura-17 years.  I am happy to say they have each been adjusted since 3 days of age, and each has enjoyed wonderful health over this time span.  Each have been very active in volleyball and basketball, and I have been the team Dr. for the past 8 years or so with their high school teams.

A fun bit of trivia that I am proud of is...that each of my brothers have become chiropractors.  Dr. Brent, in Flagstaff, Arizona, and Dr. Bruce in Cottonwood, Arizona.  Both are doing very well and are leaders in their community in helping patients and teaching the benefits of chiropractic care and optimal healing.

I grew up on a farm in western Minnesota with Mom, Dad, two brothers and a sister. I went to a small high school and then off to the University of Minnesota at Morris. I graduated with a Bachelors of Arts Degree in Business/Economics as well as a minor in Economics. After a few years I realized that Chiropractic was the profession that I truly wanted to pursue. I knew that it worked and that I could make a difference in the lives of others by spreading the word. After graduating in 1998 from Northwestern College of Chiropractic in Bloomington, Mn. I first joined my brother Brad's practice in Minnesota for 5 years before making the journey to Arizona to open my own offices in Cottonwood and Williams. While I learned a lot in my time at Brad's office I am enjoying the continued growth of my own practice and serving the the needs of the many spines of Northern Arizona.

In my free time I enjoy spending time with my EIGHT nieces, golfing, playing softball and keeping up to date on all scores and info reported on ESPN. Often times I can be found traveling to visit family and friends in Minnesota and San Diego, but most of the time my travels take me up the road to Flagstaff to visit my brother Brent and his family.
